Marco Ramirez
Marco Ramirez is a native Texan, born and raised in San Antonio. Marco’s first interest in horses came from his family’s cattle ranch in South Texas where quality horses is a priority. Marco joined the Phelan Good Stables team 7 years ago as an apprentice to trainer Rory Phelan. In conjunction with his work at Phelan Good Stables, Marco attended Texas A&M University where he majored in Animal Science with a minor in business and received his B.S. degree in 2009. Upon graduation from A&M, Marco interned with Pfizer for a year before taking on the full time management and training duties at Phelan Good Stables in Fredericksburg. Marco started training horses when he was in high school and perfected his technique under the tutelage of Rory Phelan. Marco is truly passionate about horses and helping people enhance their relationship with horses. He is an AQHA member and enjoys team roping with a strong interest in performance horses. Mr. Phelan believes Marco to be one of the most dedicated, trustworthy, reliable and efficient trainers he has ever had the privilege with which to work.
